There is no substitute for EXCELLENCE

Leader

We can spend hours talking about what teachers must know with regard to their subject disciplines. However, if we don't include in our discussion a pragmatic plan for how teachers engage their students to inspire them to accept responsibility for learning, it doesn't really matter how brilliant or knowledgeable the teacher is or what curriculum is used.

Many students feel disconnected from school and do not see education as important or relevant to their daily lives.

The fact is, if students do not want to learn, they will not learn. It is educators connecting with students, delivering information at their readiness level and understanding students learning styles that will change their attitude toward education. Once the students feel connected to the education process, then learning becomes relevant and important to the student. Attitudes change and students become active, engaged learners.
